Thank you for the latest episode on not feeling guilty about making art: one of my relatives put me off making and creating for 21 years….it still makes me feel tearful. Now I adopt the boundary Michelle does with everyone except people I think might be supportive. I’m vague about what I make, I simple say, “ I like sewing,” and make it sound like a hobby. Obviously I have a way to go with this wounding, but I’m making much faster progress with pods like this.
I find this to be the perfect studio chat, I listen to Michelle’s thoughtful topics and creatively motivating perspective, while I am painting, writing or planning, it’s always uplifting and there’s always something practical to take away and put into practice from her honest accounts of her many years of experience both as an artist and her experience of encouraging others.
This is the only podcast I listen to whilst creating ceramics.
It’s motivational, educational, informative, entertaining and highly uplifting. Michelle’s voice is melodic and nice to listen to.
Her topics are very interesting and the delivery is perfect. You cannot help but love it!
Enjoying the podcast - like having a chat with a wise friend /mentor:)

The episodes are short enough to be heard and learned from in snippets, which as a busy working Mom is sometimes all I can afford, ... more
