  • Go listen!

Excellent mini series which translates across the ocean to the UK. The investigative journalist reporting really captures the story and the subtext. A story about negotiation and reconciliation asking a question; should we passively accept the systems that bind us still?

  • Having a complex narrator adds so much more!

You Didn’t See Nothin’ is an intriguing podcast about the 1997 racist attack of 13-year-old Lenard Clark. Yohance Lacour is a complex narrator – at the time of the attack he loved literature and was a rookie journalist, but was also dealing weed, then heroin. Eventually he got a much longer sentence for his dealing than Lenard’s attacker, even though Lenard was left in a coma. more

  • Great story, great storytelling

One of my favorite podcasts. The narrator / journalist approaches the subject with such honesty and genuine interest, it’s hard not to start caring about the story. This podcast is relatively simple on its surface but has layers of history and emotion woven in. What I liked most was Mr. Lacour’s honesty in his approach. He doesn’t come across as an expert trying to preach or educate you: he wants to explore the issue with you and share his perspective. I definitely learned something.
