Join me as each time I either prep fiber for spinning, or sit at my spinning wheel. There is also music and stories while we spin our fiber into yarn.

Back in January 2021, I was doing the New Year thing, thinking about podcasting again, and putting a discussion about the New Year in that podcast. Somehow, the podcast never happened, and this bit of writing I did, was never published. Is it still... more

Love the podcast. Very informative, although I disagree with a couple of things you said. Romeldale and CVM do indeed share the same genetics, as you mentioned, however Romeldale is solid white and CVM is colored. Also, it has been my experience that the staple length for either fleece is identical. I’ve gotten my fleeces from Marie Minnich in Pennsylvania for years. She has the largest Romeldale flock in the country.Continued success with your podcast. I look forward to several future installme... more
Love this podcast! Very informative and extremely interesting. I’m new to spinning, and really appreciate the knowledge that is brought to each episode, but on a level that interests, rather than intimidates.
This is an expert spinner and a spinning enthusiast sharing her deep knowledge of spinning. I love her calm voice and easy style. I’m grateful she still podcasts tho life gets in her way.
I have listened for many years to this well done spinning podcast. If you spin, this is a must have podcast to listen to. She explains things so clearly and I learn so much from her. Excellent teacher, spinner and really knows her stuff. Excellent quality show.
My favourite podcast about spinning and processing fibre. Full of interesting information and relaxing listen.I'm always looking forward to the next recording.
I really enjoy this show and learn a lot about spinning. She is a wonderful teacher and does a superb on all aspects of fiber and spinning. Thanks
This podcast is full of practical and technical information related to spinning. Topics include discussion of various types of fibers, fiber preparation, dyeing and of course spining.
I enjoy listening to this podcast even though I've been spinning and knitting for many years. She takes the time to educate us in things that she's learning about her spinning voyage and is not afraid to say "oops" on occasion.
Thank you.
Thanks for a great podcast! Keep up the good work.
I'm still early in the episodes, but I'm enjoying this podcast very much. The tone is so relaxed, and I've never had an audio issue. I feel a little out of my league since I don't have much desire for the processing end of things (husband with a wool allergy), but the information is presented in an easy to follow way. The music is always interesting. I LOVE the spin-in episodes!
Really helpful to a new spinner and very nice just to sit back and relaxes with.
I don't know how she knows, but Yarnspinner always addresses a topic that I am struggling with at the time her podcast comes out! I learn so much from her every single time. Her delivery is excellent, to-the-point and she has a wonderful voice.
I am a new spinner and found this podcast and am so enjoying it. I do have to confess that I fast forward her music, not that it is bad, but I have too little time to listen to all my favorite podcasts and want to jump in to all the wonderful info on types of fiber, types of spinning and everything fiber related. This is by far the most informative podcast on spinning by far!
If your looking for a podcast that is truly a spinning fibery podcast, this is the one for you. Her reviews of different fibers and experience with them is an inspiration to try new fibers. The recording quality is good and her voice is very pleasant to listen to. I love the way the podcast ends with a "spin in" and a chat. Highly recommend this podcast to all hand-spinners and lovers of fiber.
This podcast is FAR too good to have escaped review thus far. Relaxing, educational, chock full of fantastic tips for fiber prep, spinning, carding, and so much more. Plus you get the virtual spin-ins complete with pleasantly humming spinning wheel in the background while you get to just kick back and listen to the "tales" portion. So peaceful. Fun excursions to dyeing workshops, interviews, glimpses into the podcaster's life and work history and family. Very enjoyable!
