  • Get to the knitting!

Way too much intro chatter. I usually have to skip almost the first half of the show until they finally get to the knitting Q&A. Then it’s great! Just wish there was more of that and less off topic conversation about the weather, etc.

  • Not enough actual knitting questions

Staci & Polly are great, but they need to read these reviews. Like me, the majority of these reviewers are discouraged by too much chit chat and not enough answering knitting questions especially for such short podcasts. Go to 45 minutes or an hour if you want all the banter (as long as you can do it without talking over each other, another annoyance about this podcast). They are both so knowledgeable and very lovely ladies.

  • Not enough knitting talk

I’m here for the knitting, not the family/personal stories.

Not enough time is spent answering knitting questions. Only about 5% of this podcast directly addresses knitting.

Also so much fake laughter makes this very hard to listen to.

    Used to be better.

When the discussion is knitting, it is great!

  • Interesting but off topic

Every episode since Casey left and Polly joined is so needlessly verbose, a 22 minute episode will regularly have over half the time of the hosts just doing a catch up chat. Then it’s “join us on Patreon for exclusive and longer episodes”….no thanks….ive learned to fast forward through about half of every week just to get to actual knitting content.

  • A question or two

Update: I tried listening again after a break and they’re still mostly chatting about random things, very little actual knitting questions or content. Lots of discussion of their Patreon group 🙄.

The “ad-free” show starts with 5+ minutes of an ad for the sock yarn that sponsors them. And then another 5 minutes of non-knitting chatter, and then maybe 1-3 questions and then they exclaim in surprise, EVERY TIME, “oh my goodness, we have an episode here, time just flew by!” as though they’ve accid... more

Q: Which one do you think is the best way to join the new yarn when we hold two or more yarns together?
The best way is to knit up to the end of one ball, making sure to leave enough tail, then start with the new yarn without worrying much about the knot; just weave ends in later if needed.
Podcast Episode 324 - Your Knitting Morale
Q: Is there a trick to getting the loose end out from the center of the skein?
It's a matter of feeling around for the loosest point and pulling, while sometimes it can lead to a mess known as yarn barf or yarn baby.
