Way too much intro chatter. I usually have to skip almost the first half of the show until they finally get to the knitting Q&A. Then it’s great! Just wish there was more of that and less off topic conversation about the weather, etc.
Staci & Polly are great, but they need to read these reviews. Like me, the majority of these reviewers are discouraged by too much chit chat and not enough answering knitting questions especially for such short podcasts. Every episode since Casey left and Polly joined is so needlessly verbose, a 22 minute episode will regularly have over half the time of the hosts just doing a catch up chat. Update: I tried listening again after a break and they’re still mostly chatting about random things, very little actual knitting questions or content. Lots of discussion of their Patreon group 🙄.
The “ad-free” show starts with 5+ minutes of an ad for the sock yarn that sponsors them. And then another 5 minutes of non-knitting chatter, and then maybe 1-3 questions and then they exclaim in surprise, EVERY TIME, “oh my goodness, we have an episode here, time just flew by!” as though they’ve accid... more
