As someone who just got into sewing over the last year, the Seamwork Radio podcast has been extremely educational for me. I wholeheartedly recommend this podcast to both new and established sewists. My question/icebreaker for Sarai and Haley is: What advice would you give to men who are interested in getting into sewing garments? It can be hard when so much of the sewing content, patterns etc that are out there are geared towards women.
This podcast is great for people who sew or those thinking about sewing. Two knowledgeable people who deliver solid, helpful, information that conveys a love for and enjoyment of it. I feel like I know them well, as friends, and listening to their content is like sitting in the kitchen and sharing a coffee. 🫶🫶🫶
I’m relatively new to sewing, and have started listening to the Seamwork episodes during my daily walks, and it’s become my new go-to podcast! Lots of episodes offer great tips (I just sewed my first knit garment this past weekend and listening to their sewing with knits tips episode was so helpful in my prep). I especially love the seasonal round-ups where the hosts share their sewing plans for the upcoming season. It helps give me inspiration for my own sewing plans. Excited to listen each wee... more
I look forward to my Monday morning drive to work and the seamwork podcast theme song starts my week off right!
The formula of this show, every show, is perfect for me. I hear the problem, the hosts personal experiences, and then the tips. It’s so helpful and even as a very experienced sewer I learn something new every week. Whether it’s a new notion, a new book or some organization tips it’s always a valuable tip.

As an advanced beginner, I have learned (and retained) more about sewing in the month I have been a member of Seamwork than I taught myself in an entire year! The patterns are amazing, I have made 5 of their pieces so far and each one has been more informative than any commercial sewing pattern. The podcast, lessons, community…. Everything has made sewing more fun and rewarding. I am soooo grateful I found this amazing resource.
I have an icebreaker- not sure if this has been asked before. But ... more
