  • Relationship Veteran

As a 56 year old father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, I’ve seen myself in almost every situation/circumstance that has been presented on her podcasts. Some things I’d handle well and some I didn’t and wish I can go back in-time and correct. I was never perfect in relationships.

You can teach a veteran new tactics.

  • Needs Better Guests

Kiara is a great host, but there is only so much she can do with annoying podcast bro type guests. I think a wider variety in the type of man interviewed would make this podcast more interesting. I want to hear different perspectives from different types of black men in industries other than just podcasting/entertainment. They all come on here and have the exact same mindsets, when in reality black men are not a monolith. How sustainable could this type of show be if every single guest thinks th... more

  • Finally, A Mic For Us… Raw, Real & Refreshingly Safe!

I just have to say how much I love this podcast. As a Black man, it’s not often you come across platforms where Black voices are not only leading the conversation but doing so in a way that feels real, thoughtful, and grounded in our actual lived experiences. So many podcasts centered on Black men either lean into negativity or focus on controversy, and honestly, that gets exhausting.

This podcast is different. It feels like a genuine safe space where our stories are told with care and respect.... more

Manhood Beyond Hustle: Jor-El Caraballo on Fatherhood, Boundaries & Self-Care
Q: When is it time to walk away?
The really only definitive answer to this, I think that applies generally, is when both people are not trying. If one person is sort of like, I'm not even really here actually, you can't do anything with that.
Manhood Beyond Hustle: Jor-El Caraballo on Fatherhood, Boundaries & Self-Care
Q: What would you tell them so that they could try to make that change and be there for their kids?
To that father, I don't know, I guess I really, if I was working with them, I definitely want to help them investigate, like, what is their understanding about what fatherhood means?
"Inner Peace, Outer Glow" Translee on Grief, Music & Growing Up
Q: What do you think about people who think like that or say that?
I think sometimes it is toxic, because we do have bad days. And it is okay to feel something else, and everything's not always okay.
"Inner Peace, Outer Glow" Translee on Grief, Music & Growing Up
Q: When you think about love and what you want out of it, what's some of the most important qualities that you look for in a woman?
Someone that is looking to build a family, to be in that space of building a family. It takes selflessness to truly build in a relationship that everybody isn't ready for.
Spectacular Smith: My Cracked Glass Still Shines | xoMAN Podcast
Q: Do you think there should be a time limit on her efforts to help him?
If her gut tells her it's time to go, then she should listen. It's about recognizing signs in the relationship.
