故事，從這座城市的記憶開始。新北市美術館的開館展覽，曾展出攝影家張照堂拍攝礦業的影像，不只記錄下勞動的身體，也呈現一段真實存在於這片土地上的產業歷史。石頭，是曾被開採、搬運、改變地景的日常存在。於是，石頭成為一個回應在地記憶的入口。
但這個入口，不只通往新北。礦業其實是世界各地都曾經、或正在經歷的產業狀態。無論在哪裡，石頭都牽動著資源、勞動與環境的關係。在展場，你會看見礦業勞動者提供的工具、筆記、照片；也會透過藝術家的作品，思考礦業帶來的環境影響，以及一個始終困難的問題，究... more

你有注意到嗎？這裡有三件展品都來自猴硐礦工文史館，這座文史館的館長周朝南，14歲就進礦坑工作。當他退休、離開礦坑，卻發現礦工的故事正一點一滴被人遺忘。
為了不讓這段記憶消失，他號召其他退休的礦工，集資成立猴硐礦工文史館，希望留下這段逐漸消逝的歷史。周朝南從基層勞動者出發，一路做到領班。展場中所展出的，正是他當年進礦工作時隨身攜帶的工具，也見證礦工日復一日的勞動痕跡。
