Just as always, BBC really amazes me with quality! It’s quite clear with information! 10/10
I've learned a great deal of new information about WWI. Presenters and interviewees are well respected historians, and the format is varied and engaging. Those who believe the podcast to be "biased" are ill informed. The suppression and distortion of historical facts in the aftermath of WWI created an "alternative" historical record (still embraced by many today, sadly) that made WWII inevitable.
I liked the information and the discussions very much. I was, however, extremely disappointed in the lack of attention given to Canadians. They focused on nearly every other Dominion force that participated, but very little on Canada.
Excellent and most incredible insight into these brave soldiers I have ever heard. I have tinnitus, so I have been listening to these gentlemen every night for many years. So pleased IWM have thier stories memorialised. Otherwise, we would have never known just how insane this war became. Rats, lice, filth, stench, diseases, etc. Dan Snow is professional, thorough, and organised. He is an excellent presenter.
I have no idea how anyone gave this any lower than 5 Stars.
