If you like history podcasts that are packed with information and well narrated, this is the perfect podcast for you! Plus, Tessa provides fantastic resources (including archival sources that you can look at yourself!!). And the episodes are short, which is awesome. Thank you!! Excited to keep listening. :)
It’s the personal stories that illuminate the larger history, and this episode of Works Not Sited does this to perfection. The story of Edna Odell is the story of so many women finding independence and agency in the new 20th Century. She may not have lived to see them thrive, but Edna gave hope to two young children rescued from war torn France and it’s right that she be remembered. Bravo, Tessa.
This show is so informative and interesting! It’s a bite size bit of history for my day! Always on interesting topics with info I’ve never heard before!
I love the variety of this podcast! And the host makes history easy to understand considering she is a real historian!!
