  • Practical Tips To Prevent Burnout!

I just finished episode 247 and it is FULL of gold!! Gillian and Mallory share so many practical tips about avoiding burnout while growing a business! Three tips that really stood out to me were building in boredom, giving myself space to experiment and experience variety in each business and thinking of possible exit strategies! It was also helpful to hear about the different signs of burnout! Thank you for this interview, I look forward to more!

  • Arrogant and doesn’t let the speakers talk at length

I’m really thrown off by this podcast. The speaker comes off as quite arrogant - in her interview with Jenny Hoyos there were a couple times where she sort of bullied Jenny into agreeing with her, making comparisons between her channel and Jenny’s, etc. At one point, Jenny was talking in essence about how she doesn’t believe the algorithm “helps” her content, but rather that she’s mastered it. It was an interesting distinction that runs counter to what a lot of creators say, and she was in the m... more

  • Content is good for solopreneur/small business

Decent content for new solopreneurs but Gillian does not have enterprise or multi-million dollar experience. Very likable.

However she sounds like she has a perpetual frog in her throat, like she needs to clear her throat. It is distracting for a podcast and makes me clear my own throat. Wish she would fix this.

Ep 324: 5 Reasons Your Customers Aren't Buying From You - and It's NOT Your Product (with Andee Hart)
Q: Where can listeners find more about you and the work you do?
Listeners can visit andeehart.com and tune into her podcast She Sells Differently to learn more about wholesale strategies and product positioning.
Ep 324: 5 Reasons Your Customers Aren't Buying From You - and It's NOT Your Product (with Andee Hart)
Q: Okay, what's number four, Andee?
The fourth reason is lack of follow up; statistics show most deals are closed after several follow-ups, so continuing to remind customers of the value you offer can transform interest into purchases.
Ep 324: 5 Reasons Your Customers Aren't Buying From You - and It's NOT Your Product (with Andee Hart)
Q: What is the second reason you would say that your customers might not be buying from you?
The lack of convenience across the purchase journey, whether on a website or wholesale process, creates friction; simplifying navigation, checkout, and retailer support (like shelf talkers) helps remove barriers and makes buying easier.
Ep 324: 5 Reasons Your Customers Aren't Buying From You - and It's NOT Your Product (with Andee Hart)
Q: So give us the backstory, Andee.
Andee explains her 17-year corporate sales background, the pivot to candle making during the pandemic, and how she now coaches product makers to get into boutiques through wholesale channels, highlighting a path to freedom and scalable impact.
Ep 323: From Tumblr Blog to Celebrity Events (w/ Dianuh Aerin)
Q: What was the pivotal moment when you decided to hire a team, and how did you approach training them?
I realized I couldn't do everything myself as the business grew, so I began hiring friends from art school and then expanded to a broader team. Training started with a dive-in approach, followed by more structured mentorship and periodic Zoom sessions to keep everyone aligned with the brand's style and standards.
