It’s been a ton of fun sitting in on Kim and Renee’s conversations about writing craft books, AI, and their personal writing journeys. Always helpful, honest, and hysterical - sometimes as if they forgot there’s a bunch of randos listening in. Love it!
I started listening and have enjoyed every episode. The hosts are personable, relatable, and interesting. It’s time well spent with people who feel like good friends. I’ve never dreamed of writing anything more than an email but their discussion and tips have helped me improve how I communicate.
While not an aspiring writer, I’m definitely interested in the craft of it. Kim and Renee’s analysis of authors’ approaches to writing gives a great view into how it should be done (as well as pointing out the things that are WRONG!). As an avid reader, it’s ratcheted up my appreciation for the artistry that goes into writing.
Craft books are pretentious (sometimes). Renee and Kim review them with a healthy dose of snark and hubris. They’re learning to write too, so their take is very refreshing, especially if you’ve ever felt intimidated by the academic side of creative writing.
I love how these podcasters complement each other’s unique perspectives and engage listeners to learn and follow along with the relatable anecdotes. Great listen!
