So sad to see this end. What an absolute treat it’s been! Thanks Leni and Brendy x
My new favourite podcast! I love each and every episode and both the hosts are so genuine and informed!
Really interesting topics and funny hosts!
So I was looking for some new podcasts to listen to, preferably concerning either LGBT issues or linguistics/words, and lo and behold I found Word of the Gay. I binged most of their previous episodes and now that I'm caught up, I have to tell you, not only is the theme song stuck in my head (not in an annoying way), but I've learned so much about Aussie LGBT culture, as well as getting a decent education about areas of LGBT life I've not experienced before. Be sure to catch their Drag Vocabulary... more
I love your podcast but the last uploade with Mary and Morgan was the worst episode ever!
your guests were talking over each other which disrupted the flow of conversation.
I hope you will be more mindful in future of the guests you invitite on the show and consider whether they really can add any value to the topic of discussion.
I was so disappointed after looking forward to a new episode after such a long break.
Hopefully it won't happen again.
Absolutely love your show guys, As a young gay man studying linguistics this podcast is perfect for me. Brightens up my day, thank you😄
This guy’s laughter is so hysteric like a broken toy. I cannot stop listening..
Brendy & Leni take you on a cheeky ride through the gay lexicon. You’ve probably heard all these words or even seen them on TV, but do you their his/herstory? Through their research, thoughtful discussion, & personal experiences they explore the richness and fabulousness of our queer language & cultures. It’s like kiki-ing with your friends, & I’m busting up whilst listening to them on the bus or at the gym. Keep serving up that good tea! Y’alls are giving me life every time an episode comes out... more
As a young gay man, I Find the perspectives presented on this podcast infinitely valuable.
Great research and some great tragic stories
Just binged season 1, a logophiles dream!
Can’t wait for season 2. Bring it on Brendy and Lenni!
I discovered this podcast a few months ago - constantly funny and informative. Definitely worth listening (and dipping back into the archives!) and even if you think you know all about a word you’ll learn something new and have a laugh!
As a pretty worldly (in my own opinion!) lesbian, I love that this fab podcast has opened my eyes to the history of common phrases.
Keep up the amazing work!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to listen to these two on my boring drives to work! They have me laughing and learning, and I can’t stop saying “having a hoot!” Keep on being fabulous and sassy! 💃
