I am uncomfortable with the overall underlying tone of kind of minimising culpability, glossing over of frankly incendiary truthful history. I’m sure brevity and balance are the reasons given for the omission of details and sort of detached passive phrasing applied to actual evils perpetrated by the white powers that be.
A wonderful introduction into important events. Always with an eyewitness account.
This podcast is under appreciated and should be pushed more heavily. I have been introducing as many people to the Witness Black History podcast, and the learning and acknowledgement of the struggles we still face, but were horrendously abhorrent in the past. BBC and their contributors should be recognised for sharing some of these stories; many of which we wouldn’t likely know or remember if it wasn’t for this pioneering effort to share history with a listening audience.
Yawn..... bored of this now!!!
