  • Easily my favorite podcast

I like listening and learning without constantly being sold. I I’m fine with products that are endorsed but most guests just come on to sell something on other podcast. Here I can gain knowledge without having to buy something to start implementing what I learned.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Winter Storm Timber Damage (Audio Only)
Q: What stands maybe could grow out of this situation?
Younger pines in the 5-12 year range were most affected, but many have already stood back up; a lot of the 6-12, 12-25 year ranges may recover with proper management, although some stands will require thinning or even replanting to reach economic viability.
Winter Storm Timber Damage (Audio Only)
Q: Was there a basal area? Was there an age class?
Damage was highly variable by age class, with pine stands in younger age ranges bearing most of the visible damage, whereas older stands showed less direct impact unless exposed, and hardwoods were relatively spared.
