  • Love your show

I started listening to your podcast in the spring, because of my Love for Turkey Hunting! But your show is one of the very few I actually listen to all year long! And the longer I listen, the more I find myself identifying as more a “Game Keeper”, than just a Hunter! Great Show, I Love It, and always look forward to the next one! Thank You Very Much!

  • Absolutely love it

At work rather than the radio I like to listen to podcasts. I found this one during Spring Legions off season to keep educating myself on products, tips, and tricks in the woods. Not only is it educational but these guys offer some awesome content and some definitely hilarious commentary. Makes the work day even better, even if Monday lasts all week long! Keep it up gentlemen!!

  • Thank You!

As a biologist for a state agency I can’t thank you all enough for keeping not only the general public but also us as public land managers up to date with the latest science and techniques. I love the podcast and have been a long time listener! I know several of us listen to it on our way to work every morning!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP:374 | [Timely Classic #50] Understanding EHD
Q: What can deer management strategies do to mitigate EHD outbreaks?
Managing deer herd health and not overcrowding can help maintain a healthier population better able to withstand EHD outbreaks.
EP:374 | [Timely Classic #50] Understanding EHD
Q: Why is EHD more devastating in the Midwest than in the South?
The Midwest experiences more severe outbreaks because deer in that region haven't built up immunity to the virus, leading to higher mortality rates.
EP:374 | [Timely Classic #50] Understanding EHD
Q: What is EHD and how does it spread?
EHD stands for Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease, which spreads through midge flies that feed on the blood of infected deer and then transfer the virus to other deer.
EP:377 | [Timely Classic] A Food Plot Discussion With Mark Drury
Q: If you had to start thinking about what all you've learned through the years, if you started trying to think of advice, of like three or four things a guy must do to have success with his food plot, where would you start?
The most important thing is to do a soil test and make sure your soil is right, then consult with local experts about planting and soil bed preparation, and plant your food plots in strategic locations.
EP:373 | The Chestnut Story
Q: Is it true that the American chestnuts can survive in isolation?
Sara indicates that there are about two dozen known American chestnuts that survived the blight and still exhibit some resistance.
