  • Best hunting podcast

This is one of the best hunting podcasts that you will ever find! It is one I look forward to every week. Used to listen to it on a different podcast app & it stopped downloading on episode 295. Not being tech savvy, I was devastated that it was gone. Was able to figure it out here & now it’s back in my life! Thank you guys for putting on a great podcast & awesome information for everyone!

  • History lesson

As someone in his mid 50’s it’s awesome to hear some of your guests talk about their early days of getting started in the outdoor industry and following/purchasing their products over the last 45 years. My favorite was the Moultrie trail timer.

  • HOT(Heart of Texas)

Anybody can afford a hunt at HOT. I was out there the week before and had an awesome trip. My buddy has hunted all over the world but never kill a turkey and I knew this would be the year to go. He killed his first turkey about an hour after we set up. We were able to eat at Jacoby three times and it was amazing. Thanks for letting people know about HOT!!!!!

FFOD316 : The Secret Sauce : Fred Law
Q: Do you still scout pre-season?
Yes, I scout selectively, focusing on new or unfamiliar properties, staying low-key and listening at gates to understand how a property lays out before committing to a plan.
FFOD317 : The Secret Sauce : Bo Prestidge
Q: Opening week, what gauge and setup are you using this year?
He's using a 20-gauge with a scope for accuracy, having moved from a 12-gauge; he emphasizes patterning and choosing shells that fit his setup and confidence.
FFOD317 : The Secret Sauce : Bo Prestidge
Q: Do you still scout any pre-season or you pretty much got your places down pat?
Prestidge says he still pre-scouts to understand where turkeys are headed and to stay ahead, but he backs off later to avoid spooking birds and to let them tell him what to do.
FFOD313 : The Secret Sauce Returns with Ernie Calandrelli
Q: What are some tips for setting up for turkey hunting?
Ensure the sun is at your back and sit at the side of the tree instead of facing the gobbles to maintain flexibility for the shot.
FFOD313 : The Secret Sauce Returns with Ernie Calandrelli
Q: Do you still love it as much as when you started?
Yes, I still love it as much, especially when I can hunt alone and do what I want in the woods.
