  • Totally engaging and inspiring

I’ve listened to several interviews with Xander Parish, but somehow David Jays seemed to bring out something new for me. I can’t wait for the next episodes. I felt a message of: do your best, never give up and above all enjoy and have fun. We all need to be reminded of this; dancers and people who think they can’t dance - because we all can. Thank you!

S10 E15: Lewis Walker
Q: And were you good at holding in those emotions after you've just given your everything on the floor?
Yeah, it's still a performance. And at the majors, there's a camera in your face. Yeah, you do. You hold it in, in that sense. But also it's liberating.
S10 E15: Lewis Walker
Q: Is it difficult to take the perfectionist, I suppose, is what I'm asking out of the performer?
Actually, no. I think since I retired as an athlete and then kind of delved more into the dance world, I've started off more heavily in contemporary and then learning a lot more improvisation techniques.
S10 E11: Alina Cojocaru
Q: Why does dance matter to you?
Alina describes how dance serves as a lens through which she understands herself and others, noting it offers a way to connect and share stories.
S10 E11: Alina Cojocaru
Q: What do you think about how ballet works in a new company?
Alina highlights the importance of energy, passion, and curiosity in a company setting, emphasizing that a supportive leadership can cultivate a positive environment.
S10 E9: Amir Nizar Zuabi
Q: Why does dance matter to you?
Because it's the most honest expression of a feeling and the first instinct to express oneself.
