Watching New Girl for the first time and loving it! Found this great podcast, really enjoying it,I love the way the ladies talk in depth about the show and characters ,I only have one little observation, just a reminder that this show wasn’t made today,I enjoy your not in 2020 but sometimes it feels like it’s the whole episode, the first few episodes I listen to anyway!
Hey guys, I really want to keep listening because I do enjoy any podcast about this show. There are two things I feel you spend too much time on that make it drag. The hyper focusing on:
How events in the show don’t line up with how things go down in real life. It’s a comedy show. Why would I want to watch a comedy that shows normal human responses and/or reactions.
The continuity issues. It’s just not as important to me as the comedic moments. The writers were more focused on what serves the... more
If you like New Girl this probably isn’t the podcast for you. Not sure the hosts like it. Thought it would be a fun podcast to follow along with episodes bc it’s one of my fave shows, but the hosts bash it a lot. Annnnnd say “like” way too much. I got less than 10 mins into the first episode of this podcast so later ones may be more positive and less “like like like” chat...
The hosts really don’t seem to like the show? There are constant critiques, and the part of the podcast where they repeat some of the dialogue is just unnecessary and awkward. New Girl is a comedy show for adults, so there’s going to be more edgy jokes and bits; the constant “this isn’t okay in 2020” is trying too hard as reaching. If you took out all the edgy jokes, it’d be a boring Disney show not an adult show.
I have been trying to find a New Girl recap podcast! I’m really enjoying this one! I love hearing their reflections on the best and funniest moments. There are interesting insights on the story lines and character development. And, it is great that they rank each episode. I would recommend this podcast to any other New Girl fan!
