John’s message is so TRUE for any organization that wants strong culture. He has lived this story and it’s great to hear him talking to others about their “And.” Thanks John!
ALL of us have an “and” and so many of us in our professional lives don’t even bring our “and” up! I love the conversations John has with his guests and I hope they give everyone the courage and inspiration to let their “and” shine in all aspects of their lives! Thank you John!
John’s contribution to our profession can’t be overstated. I completely refute the idea that our work defines us. From the partners at my firm giving me crap when I talked about my passions outside of work to the entire tax industry acting like 60+ hours of work a week during tax season is normal, I have known that I needed to change my work environment. I truly believe that pursuing our passions and scratching our creative itches bring lasting happiness. I love this podcast.
This podcast is such a find! John Garrett’s interviews of his guests to dig into the unique passions we have as individuals is so entertaining and thought-provoking all at the same time. I had as many light bulb moments as I did laughs as I listened to the show. John’s “What’s Your &” perspective is a big contribution to valuing all of who we are so we can show up as our best and most vibrant selves - at work, at home and in our communities.
Love John’s podcast and book. Really enjoy asking people what their “And” is as well! This book has been eye opening as to what is professional.
