  • This is the best podcast!!!

Open Mike Eagle is a great rapper in his own right. My friend told me last week about this series he did with Quest Love (season 4), and I plowed through that whole season, savoring every moment. I’m now on season 1, thoroughly enjoying these interviews with The Great Prince Paul. There are some great hip hop podcasts out there, but what separates this one from the pack, to me, is (1) Open Mike Eagle is not corny, and he’s not Stanning out, (2) Open Mike Eagle has a very humble, unpretentious, i... more

  • One of top 5 podcasts of any kind

This is just an outstanding podcast. If you like interviews it doesn’t get any better than this but if you grew up in the 80s or 90s listening to hip hop then this is just paradise. Open Mike Eagle is everything you want in a host: he has a palpable enthusiasm for his subjects; he asks interesting questions; he’s authentic; and he listens! The four guests so far have all been addictive listening, making these season-long interviews feel too short. Please don’t stop!
