Nat clearly works so hard on this and the research is fantastic. Also huge credit for starting it from scratch. But now it has a following - she really could do with a professional producer. The sound is often bad, needs better editing, and the script needs cutting. It could be a really great pod - with the right investment in production (it matters!)
Weird in the Wade is quite simply outstanding! It’s well researched, well presented and always entertaining. It’s one of the podcast I subscribe to that I get genuinely excited about when I get a notification to say there’s a new episode! P10/10
Please speak in sentences. And please stop saying multiple syllable words broken down in to those syllables.
You’re a good storyteller but you detract from your content by your diction. Clearly you are speaking in order to speak with clear enunciation and pronunciation of words in your speech, but please let yourself speak with your dialect and character to make this more listenable. Just like you do with your guest. Thank you.
Have been binge listening over the last few days and really loving the mixture of history and the paranormal. Not sensationalised just well written well researched and a joy to listen to. Thank you!
Fantastic podcast, stumbled upon it recently and I’m hooked. No clue where Biggleswade is but I’m all in!!

A historically grounded exploration of local British folklore, hauntings, and the uncanny centered around a small English town and its surrounding area. Episodes consistently blend archival history with supernatural storytelling, featuring interviews with folklorists, parapsychologists, writers, and local historians. The show stands out for its confident grounding in place-specific lore, accessible storytelling, and a balanced approach that weaves skepticism with fascination, often using site visits, reenactments, and on-site interviews to bring tales to life.
