Now it seems just a weird mishmash.
Often a lot of talking but not much ‘spooky’.
It’s a shame. It was really good earlier on.
Loved this podcast for years but now ads completely ruin the immersive nature of the spooky tales. The stories are like those on Uncanny (a firm fav) but unlike Uncanny, they are peppered with banal adverts that jar the experience. Now I only listen when I’ve nothing else. I get people need to monetise but when and how ads are placed can mean the difference between keeping folk on board or driving them away.
I initially enjoyed the interesting stories this podcast offered, but recently it has become a chore to listen to. The intrusive ads are frequent and often appear suddenly, interrupting the flow of the content.
This podcast used to be solid…not now…weak content, too many naff spinoffs…disappointing
I found haunted UK last year and listen every week. Very interesting and well presented spooky history.

A long-running series blends historical context with haunted locations, folklore, and eyewitness accounts to explore how places acquire enduring mysteries. Episodes commonly weave archival research, on-site narration, and interviews with historians, paranormal investigators, and staff connected to notable sites, creating a documentary-style tapestry of history and the unexplained. Listeners can expect atmospheric storytelling, varied formats (from first-person testimonies to expert commentary), and a focus on how memory, place, and legend persist across time. A standout is the consistent emphasis on real locations and documented histories, paired with personal experiences that anchor the uncanny in everyday environments.
