苗栗有兩項有關「龍」系列的民俗特色活動列入「客家節慶」，一個是「苗栗𪹚龍」，農曆元宵節在苗栗市玉清宮舉辦；另一個是「三義雲火龍節」，農曆四月二十六日「五穀大帝誕辰日」左右在三義鄉舉辦。而苗栗縣三義鄉是一個被國際認證的「慢城」，因此三義的「三義雲火龍節」，充分體現了慢食、慢遊、慢活的民俗活動。
