Brad Grimmett is a Steadicam Operator. On Walking Backwards he talks to other Steadicam Operators and crew members about the business of film and television. Mostly it's just drinking beer and telling stories though, which is much more fun.

If the interviewer would not interrupt the interviewee by tell his stories, going down rabbit holes, restating what the interviewee just stated and asking unrelated questions it would be fantastic. The interviewee gets about 30-40% of the time. For example the Colin Anderson interview yields about 25% of him actually responding. I spent most of my time skipping in 30 second increments to get to the good parts which there definitely are some especially Garret, Chris H, Jim Bartel, Dave C
I love that this is out in the world. It’s the kind of thing I never searched for, I just assumed it wouldn’t have existed. Great to hear from other Steadicam ops. Thanks, Brad!
Who would give this podcast 4 stars?
The host should let the guest do the majority of the talking because some times it can lose a little focus when they start to trade anecdotes. Other than that it’s great, really glad someone made something like this.
