I have a beautiful German violin and have kept it to collect dust for over 20 years. After listening to this podcast I am now inspired to “get back on the saddle.
Loves the series… no updates recently eh?
I love Rachel I had fallen in love with her whilst researching live performances of Bach on YouTube. Not long after that, she released her Testament recording. I received a book of her arrangements and cadenzas as a Christmas gift. She has guided me in my own musicological research and historically informed practice. I purchased a baroque bow, the one that she had apparently collaborated with Shar music. I am learning the 5th Mozart concerto and intend on using her cadenzas in my eventual perfor... more
Her playing is so beautiful and so are the actions she has taken to bring music to where it can heal and delight. This is a great podcast for music-lovers of all ages.
'Violin Adventures' is a wonderful podcast. I have learned so much from it! RBP is obviously passionate about the violin and that, plus the great diversity of topics, is why the podcast is so good. My favorite episodes are the ones where she goes into depth about a piece and plays samples from it. Loved the Tchaikovsky and Bruch ones!
Really glad she's brought it back from hiatus!
These podcasts are excellent!!!! Thank you Rachel!!! Please continue these podcasts we so look forward to them!!!

You really learn a lot from these podcasts as a common person who appreciates classical music. Although I have been attending violin recitals frequently, I haven't heard all the inside information from a violinist himself/herself. This podcast gives you all that!!
A very talented violinist and wonderful person. Thanks Rachel for putting this cool podcast together!
