  • Fab!! Do NOT miss!!

The VRP is the best rock music podcast you’ll ever hear. The roster of guests that Paul has interviewed is extremely eclectic and covers the whole gamut of styles and genres that have developed since modern rock music took off in the 60s, including many, many hall-of-fame inductees and influential musicians and singers. I cannot recommend this podcast highly enough! If you decide to subscribe, do go back to the beginning and work your way through the early episodes, for some real gems. If, like ... more

  • Great interview show

Found a bunch of great, inspiring interviews with some of my favorite musicians. The Gene Simmons interview was painful. Host was great, Gene was all over the place, and a bit off.

145. Matt Backer - Elton John, Joe Cocker, Marcella Detroit
Q: What would you consider to be the moment you felt like you made it big?
The first big breakthrough came from early success with Hollywood Beyond and then keeping momentum through steady gigs, with a sense that the next opportunity was the real measure of progress, rather than a single moment of mainstream fame.
144. Brian Vollmer - Helix
Q: So how does it feel going back to listening to those things and turning them into the fully fledged songs?
It made me think of Fritz, and I could feel him on these tracks because he played on quite a few of the tracks.
144. Brian Vollmer - Helix
Q: What made you decide to do something like that then?
It was mostly on the recommendation of Gordon Pryor who just written Power Rock and Roll with, and I love Christmas, so I was totally into the project.
Side 2 - Backstage With Foghat in London!
Q: Will there be future tours back to the UK?
I fucking well hope so.
Side 2 - Backstage With Foghat in London!
Q: What does it mean to you to come back to the UK, to play these songs that you've created all these years?
I've been wanting to do it for ages; it means a lot to me.
