This was a phenomenal podcast. I original came across this from listening to the Football Travel podcast. I actually found it quite difficult to find but when I did I spent the entire summer of 2022 listening to this.the timing couldn’t be better. It was not simply a journey through nostalgia. The guests were brilliant. Patrick Barclay, Pierre Litbaski, Pete Davis etc. All great people
I’m roughly ages with you guys and also have many good memories of this World Cup, and some bad ones given that Scotland were out early. The attention given to all groups and stages of the tournament is testament to the feeling you have for it. There were lots of little details forgotten that were relived, and some new ones learned (Maradona’s wedding car !). This is an amazing piece of work and I’ve spent October/November driving to and from work engrossed by it all. My bank balance is recover... more
I spent a month in Italia, 1990 and had a blast following the World Cup - thanks for the memories!
This podcast is incredible and not a minute wasted listening to it. I was 13 at the time and remember getting my Italia 90 sticker book confiscated in school for distracting me during lessons. An English kid living in Germany (West) at the time, you can imagine the heartache. A lot of work has gone into this, thank you, loved it! I could write for some time about how good Italia 90 was and how good this podcast is, but just listen and you will hear why!
Relive the magic days and nights with this thorough recap of Italia 90. Great host and great guests.
