  • I wanted to like it, I really did.

    I’ve been listening to this podcast since the election of the new pope. I really liked the news that I was getting in the beginning, and almost immediately noticed a left leaning slant to the reporting, but I chose to push on; because I am a catholic first, then a husband, then a father, and only after those three things are taken care of do I put my political views in a place of importance.     While the information given daily is interesting & encyclopedic, its delivery comes across as slapdash & comical (if I wasn’t wincing with each frequent fumble of elocution). The presenters sound as if they are encountering & reading their copy for the first time ever. Stammers, stutters, & mispronunciations are rife. Furthermore the cadence of the delivery is so cartoonish (especially in the case of one of the male presenters) that one would be forgiven if they mistook the news reader for a cha... more
