The episode discussing St Junipero left me saddened. Comments like, “people took his statues down because people just don’t like statues,” is false and misleading. Missions spread the Catholic faith and helped people. They also hurt people; erased culture and at times subjected people to inhumane treatment. Transparency and honesty, that’s how we move forward. Five stars because I normally love this podcast.

Wanting to support others’ comments, I concur that the content is great! The host’s excitement, though, makes this sound more like a schoolyard chat rather than an intentionally informative talk. The guests show great charity in working around interruptions and desires to mansplain or show off the host’s knowledge.

The host interrupting and talking over the guests makes it very difficult to follow. I agree with others that a better format is needed, maybe a producer and content director. This is wonderful material and a learning opportunity but desperately needs guidance.
