Unplaced | an audio drama

Michelle Nickolaisen

Unplaced tells the story of a woman who wakes up one day to find that no one can see or hear her, and everyone she knows is slowly forgetting about her. That would be weird enough...but after a few weeks of being invisible, she finds she's not the only being other people can't see.

  • Enjoyable!

I realize I’m very late to this party, but, I really enjoyed the concept and Cole Burkardt’s performance. The finale was quite the cliffhanger and I’m hoping the creator will eventually follow up with the story’s conclusion. I genuinely need to know why they’re invisible/erased/non-existed/gone/forgitten!

  • It’s okay

If you liked Alice Isn’t Dead, you’ll like this one. They have VERY similar vibes. The main reason I couldn’t get past a few episodes in was because of the sound design and awful background music. I generally like realistic sound design in my narrative podcasts and this is certainly not that. The sounds chosen for SFX really didn’t do it for me and the heavy, constant background music completely distracted me from what was going on in the story.

  • This show is so great & so important I want more people to listen to it because the experience envelops you & you're right there with the protagonist every step of the way & the more you listen the more this is so much bigger than someone being or feeling invisible & if you want a fiction podcasts to dive deeply into & make you think, this is for you.

  • A new reality

This is good production with a captivating storyline. Threaded throughout is a mystery waiting to be unravelled.

Main character who is deliberately unnamed has become invisible & any memory of her has slowly dissolved from all her loved ones memories.

So now she no longer exists in what is the standard reality. Living out of hotels with no need for employment, she is able to spend her time trying to figure out what has happened. She created a podcast where she records her experience as a new... more
