Australian psychologists Amy & Hunter nerd out about all things psychology, from Star Wars to Social Anxiety. Listen in for an independent pod with great chemistry between therapists working in oncology (Hunter) & child psychology (Amy). Each episode focuses on a psychological issue, therapy or simply provides an outlet to overanalyse our favourite tv & film characters.@twoshrinkspod

There was some good general information. But when they got specifically to the topic they’d set it got very by numbers and revealed their knowledge was shallow. It really was just going through the DSM basically and that’s all. Very crude to the extent of misleading. They were honest and said they’d themselves had never actually dealt with what they were talking about irl.
I really love this podcast! Content is great, but the crosstalk (the way Amy constantly “mm” “yeah” adding acknowledgment every two seconds into the microphone) made it difficult to listen. This is awesome and gives me much needed brain food, clarity, reassurance and challenge during very difficult times as a health professional and personally. Amy and Hunter have a great way of communicating and pitching things at the right level for me as a non-psychologist (physio). They are also hilarious at times. They’d be my ideal dinner guests (along with cocktails and talking dogs).
Two intelligent, empathetic psychologists using both research papers, personal experience, movie critiques, and occasional interviews to shed light on many areas. With thanks from an MD writer looking to learn
I only found this podcast recently and I’m listening to every episode from the beginning. So good! The hosts are smart, informed, funny and easy to listen to. I’ve just started studying psychology for a career change and this has just make me more exited for it. Thank you for making this!
