Had to write a review bc I was getting extremely annoyed about the different pronunciations of the names while listening. It happens in multiple episodes. After reading the other reviews, the podcast is allegedly AI-narrated so I guess that makes sense. The writing is well done, what a shame that that may be AI-generated as well
Wayyyyy too many adjectives to get through a single sentence. This plus a monotone narrator makes it clear that this is not a story being told by a person (also, the overuse
of adjectives is annoying, we want to fall asleep to a story, not word salad).
Other reviewers have recommended an alternative podcast. I checked it out and they are absolutely right - Dead Sleep is so much better.
It makes me sad that the podcast team is probably using our reviews to make the AI better. Podcasts should b... more
Dead Sleep is a wonderful way to fall asleep to the real Nancy’s voice and stories. This is a cheap rip-off. Listen to Dead Sleep instead!
If I could give no stars I would. This is a blatant AI ripoff of Nancy Miller’s brilliant Dead Sleep Podcast (True Crime for Bedtime). This is why people hate AI and its overlords who scrape data from the internet which is passed off as original. Shameful and more importantly, TERRIBLE!
There are some great stories to be heard but the AI mispronouncing so many words is very distracting. Mildly annoying in another otherwise great presentation. I miss human narration.
