Adore the premise of this podcast & Tanya’s signature questions. The greatness of each episode however is still dependent on the quality of the guest. I’ve listened to the fabulous Rupert Everett & Liz Hurley episodes multiple times, while others I can’t make it through. Tanya is a wonderful host & always polite and gregarious, even when some of the guests are not quite as interesting.
Was listening to the Hugh Bonneville interview until Tanya started talking about her likes (which she does too much) and this includes how much she likes veal. How totally ignorant and uncaring of animal welfare can you be to openly admit liking this dish? Couldn’t get past this and as she’s in every show of course I am switching off. This is the first time I’ve ever written a comment about a show and sorry but had to be for such a sad reason.
I’m so sorry as I normally love this show but airing Ruby Wax at all let alone in the week Donald Trump announces he has achieved a peace deal in the Middle East whilst she & Tanya basically trash him was a real miss. This show should be about escapism not politics. Wax complained about Trump being combatative with her yet she has done nothing but be a trump attack dog so what on earth did she expect???
Please no politics or guests who are happy to attack any public figure. We do not tune in to... more
The conversations are brilliant. Interesting guests and a superb format make this show standout. The recordings are always professional with no background noise. The predictability of questions is genius. It’s exactly what I want to know. It brings the world to you in the best possible way. Fav episode- Jo Malone.
Shame about the mentions of the South of France and overpacking in every single episode. Could do a bingo card of Tanya’s interruptions each time. Please consider changing the format up and mentioning less of the hotels you personally work with or make it explicit for advertising standards in a ad section like every other podcast. Could be so much better.
