  • Better than golf podcast 4-5 months out of every year

First, thank you Mr Jeezy through whom all things are possible. Second, between Octoberish and Marchish, if a No Laying it Up Golf Podcast episode and a The TrapDraw podcast episode drop on the same day, extenuating circumstances aside, I listen to the TrapDraw podcast episode first. And I love the No Laying it Up Golf podcast.

When I tune in for a chop session, please don’t give me a “ball knowers” episode, 1 star every time this happens

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

408: Chop Session with Stephen Dubner
Q: Is there a reason for the pivot to video and how does it relate to radio?
Yes and no. It's a TV-style, in-your-living-room format meant to be intimate, built after a failed live show, and designed to coexist with Freakonomics Radio rather than replace it.
395: 2026 NHL Playoffs With Ryan Whitney
Q: How does playoff hockey differ tactically from the regular season?
The physicality increases, but the fundamental tactics stay similar; teams focus on high-pressure forechecks and disciplined defense, with more urgency around puck battles and protecting leads.
363: Seamsters Union: Brent Rooker & Playoff Baseball
Q: What do you think about the young talent in the A's lineup?
The potential of young players like Nick Kurtz and others creates excitement for the future.
363: Seamsters Union: Brent Rooker & Playoff Baseball
Q: How important was it for you to play 162 games this year?
It became a goal once I approached the finish line because it was a cool feat.
359: 2025 Airports - Pete Buttigieg
Q: Is there an airport you just dread?
LaGuardia used to be a nightmare, but it's improved significantly.
