  • Good commentary

I love what is being said and how the questions and answers are structured. However, most episodes are almost impossible to follow along because everything that’s being talked about is shown on a video/screen and I’m just listening with headphones. Maybe don’t put the ones where you need to follow along on the podcast and leave those to YouTube.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DTC 30: Why Risk Management Alone Won't Make You Profitable
Q: Can good risk management make a bad strategy profitable?
No. A bad strategy with negative expectancy cannot be turned profitable through risk management; you need a positive expectancy edge and disciplined execution to see sustainable returns.
DTC 30: Why Risk Management Alone Won't Make You Profitable
Q: Should beginners risk 0.25, 0.5 or 1% per trade?
Start with the lowest risk for beginners, such as 0.25%, and only increase gradually as the trader proves their edge and consistency with the plan, always prioritizing the ability to follow the plan over chasing quick gains.
DTC 30: Why Risk Management Alone Won't Make You Profitable
Q: If risk management doesn't make you profitable, why does everyone say it's the most important part of trading?
The host and guests agree that risk management is essential because it protects capital and makes it feasible to trade with a plan, but it cannot create profitability on its own without a positive expectancy from a sound edge and good execution.
319. The "Holy Grail" Trading System, Automation, Macro and Mindset w/ Trader Nick
Q: How do you manage trading in a way that fits into a busy schedule, and is it possible to do it in an hour a day?
By focusing on a small set of high-probability setups, using semi-automatic screening tools, and trading on higher timeframes like the daily and four-hour charts, I can monitor only a handful of charts that meet my criteria while relying on automation to filter opportunities. This keeps activity manageable and aligned with macro fundamentals.
312. Every Traders SUCCESS FORMULA (Just Rinse & Repeat)... ICT Expert "Trade X" Explains
Q: What role does mindset play in your trading and what would you say to new traders about staying disciplined?
Mindset is crucial; he emphasizes four pillars—acceptance, determination, patience, discipline—and suggests a structured mindset resource (a 40-page PDF) and meditation to maintain balance.
