  • Good commentary

I love what is being said and how the questions and answers are structured. However, most episodes are almost impossible to follow along because everything that’s being talked about is shown on a video/screen and I’m just listening with headphones. Maybe don’t put the ones where you need to follow along on the podcast and leave those to YouTube.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DTC 15: Refining the Process
Q: If you could tell a 7-year-old the most important thing about trading, what would you say?
The hosts acknowledge the question and propose a topic-focused beginner segment later, emphasizing that trading is about patience, learning the rules, and gradually building understanding rather than rushing into trades.
DTC 10: Listener Q&A on Rule-Breaking and Ego
Q: How do I know if my strategy is the problem or my execution is the problem?
If execution is flawless and you still fail over a long enough sample, the data will show whether the edge exists; otherwise, inconsistent execution typically reveals that the problem lies with execution.
DTC 14: The Hidden Behavior Costing You Thousands
Q: Why do traders self-sabotage?
Because emotions shape immediate, comforting shortcuts that feel right in the moment, even when they violate the trading plan, and identity and ego keep repeating the same patterns.
DTC 13: Identifying Consistency and Overcoming Self-Sabotage
Q: What is the biggest sign a trader is starting to improve their discipline?
A key sign is that the trader focuses on their process and execution rather than continually chasing past wins or losses, and maintains a consistent trading window across days.
DTC 13: Identifying Consistency and Overcoming Self-Sabotage
Q: Can discipline be trained, or are some people naturally more disciplined?
Discipline can be trained through repetition, accountability, and structured practice; many traders build it over time rather than being born with it.
