  • Perfect channel for everything prop trading

Great perspectives on becoming, being and remaining a daytrader. Especially with prop firms. I’m still very new, having paper traded 3-4 months ans prop traded 1 month, and for me, Austin hosts some great interviews and discussions on how to grind your way to success in daytrading. It’s not a linear journey, and on the Day Trading Show, it’s not sold as a quick way to riches. Keep it up!

  • Your Sponsors 😫 Top 1 is not as great as great as you claim. Crazy rules and denials

Dude. I signed up for Top 1 based on you Austin and your show. I enjoy your show and wanted to support. I thought I was following all the rules, hit my consistency and 10 days and requested a payout. They denied it as some of my trades were 10 seconds. I have a strict strategy and entries and if my PTs are hit in 3 seconds or 3 hours, it should NOT matter. Customer support with Top One is horrible and I am guessing they will continue to remake their rule book as they go. I am happy to go back to... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tanner's BREAKOUT YEAR +$232,000 In Trading Profits!
Q: What role did journaling and edge play in achieving that breakout year?
Journaling and continuously re-evaluating edge were central. Edge became more technical with experience, while journaling helped verify setups bar by bar, determine when the trend would continue, and avoid overtrading. This combination reduced guesswork and allowed taking bigger, high-probability bets when conditions aligned.
Tanner's BREAKOUT YEAR +$232,000 In Trading Profits!
Q: Tanner, can you give an overview of what you mean by breakout year and how it manifested for you?
The breakout year came after years of profitability, shifting from options to futures, and embracing prop trading. It wasn't about one huge win but about refining edge, copying strategies, managing risk with max loss limits, and leveraging multiple accounts to generate consistent payouts. The year culminated in about $232,000 in profits, driven by discipline, improved risk control, and the ability to focus on high-probability setups.
Stacking Payouts & Avoiding Prop Firm Drama w/ Zach Arbucci
Q: How has the maturation of the space affected your approach to personal trading vs. prop trading?
The presence of daily payouts and personal funds has pushed toward blending approaches: using prop accounts for scalability and live trading, while gradually funding a personal account to leverage more flexible strategies and incentives.
Stacking Payouts & Avoiding Prop Firm Drama w/ Zach Arbucci
Q: Why two payouts from the same set of accounts?
Two payouts dramatically improve ROI and create a more sustainable growth path by reducing the need to continually return to the drawing board with new accounts.
Stacking Payouts & Avoiding Prop Firm Drama w/ Zach Arbucci
Q: What do you think? Do new traders go straight to funded, or do new traders go eval, challenge?
It depends on the person, their bankroll, and their willingness to learn. For some, instant funding can work if they're ready; for others, a cheaper eval can provide a safer learning curve. The idea is to use props as learning tools, not gambling vehicles.
