  • The narration is not it

The stories are good, Amanda is not good as a narrator though…she’s very repetitive and the constant call back to her story is annoying to me personally. If you want to tell your story (which you’ve done in a book) do that, but when it’s time to tell other people’s stories let the focus be on them. Just my opinion.

  • Season 1 was Great, Season 2….hmmm

Season 1 was great. Season 2 was incredibly interesting and Amanda Knox was a good narrator. I just didn’t like that she kept inserting her case into the story. It was distracting to say the least.

  • Season 1 is problematic

I had to stop listening at season 1, episode 3. First, the amount the host feels the need to constantly describe how attractive everyone is makes me feel like I’m reading a Sweet Valley High novel. Secondly, over and over this podcast feeds into the teenage femme fatale trope whether via the interviewer or the interviewees (female detective(?) is stuck on how this 15yr old dressed older than her age and probably wanted to grab the attention of the male detectives), and third, some very clear ho... more

  • Not Super Interesting

It feels icky to complain that this very intense story isn’t entertaining… but I do think the point of a podcast is to give a story the impact it deserves. This podcast took all of the wind out of the story and it made it arduous and boring.

  • Season 1 GREAT, Season 2 Eh

Season 1 was absolutely amazing! Such a great story and great narrating. Season 2 is hard to follow and the narration is difficult to listen to.
