  • ABC should be for everyone

This show, like a lot of the ABC reflects middle and upper middle class white people in the workplace. It has zero relevance to working class people who are often trapped in their workplace by the middle and upper middle class. Burnout, for example, happens to retail workers, receptionists and warehouse workers. Only they often have little choice but to continue to work. Why not once in while speak with a working class worker instead of Uni educated, American workplace importer managers who ofte... more

  • Good Show, Slogan not so good

I didn’t think I’d find this show interesting but I do. But thank God you got rid of that cringeworthy old slogan, “Work it baby.’ Awful. The new one is better but not better than having none at all. An extra star rating if you drop it!

  • Authentic Self

This episode is reason enough to unsubscribe. I’d consider this to be pro employer messaging and almost propaganda from the guest (older generation) to dismiss the new younger coming in. This will only cause further division and issues in the world. Do better.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Marcus Buckingham says love is the most powerful force in business
Q: Okay, Marcus, let's talk about how to design love in. Where do you start?
He outlines two roles—mover and maker—where movers find love in their own work and makers design experiences for others that evoke the five core feelings (control, harmony, significance, warmth of others, growth), emphasizing that every touchpoint of an experience matters.
Marcus Buckingham says love is the most powerful force in business
Q: So you described love as the most powerful force in business. Why is this?
Buckingham explains that love acts as a predictor of sustainable, high‑quality outcomes because it amplifies genuine, authentic experiences that people internalize, driving productive behavior more than traditional incentives ever could.
Kyle and Jackie O safety complaint heads to Federal Court
Q: Why is this kind of behavior considered a safety risk, and what makes it legally significant for leaders?
Disrespect and aggression undermine psychological safety, which is essential for safe work. If leaders know risks exist and fail to act, they can face criminal penalties for breaches of officer duties, and regulators can pursue enforcement if the organization doesn't fix the hazards.
Kyle and Jackie O safety complaint heads to Federal Court
Q: How can organizations practically deploy psychosocial controls in a high-tension situation like this?
They should implement a proactive risk assessment, anonymous feedback channels, and a clear escalation process, then map existing controls against the identified 17 hazards, address gaps, and ensure leaders model and enforce a respectful culture.
Kyle and Jackie O safety complaint heads to Federal Court
Q: What's your summary of the employment-law angle on Jackie O and Kyle's case as of this recording?
The case hinges on workplace rights, safety obligations, and the potential for breaches of duty by officers if the system for managing psychosocial hazards is inadequate. The facts are still developing, but the law requires addressing complaints, protecting against retaliation, and maintaining safe, respectful working conditions, even when contractors are involved.
