Great show generally, but the adult ADHD guest seemed to be over-pathologizing the human condition and adding himself into the 'I have ADHD, too' despite being super successful category. I think this does a lot of disservice because I truly believe that we all hate, drag our feet and avoid doing things that are boring, or not interesting to us. Lots of tangents about himself. Lots of “holier than thou” content. “I do this right and they do it wrong, aren’t I smart…” … k
Most of all it’s biologically reductionistic and risks tricking providers and patients into thinking mental illness is nothing more than “chemical imbalances.”
This is a great podcast, finely delivered and produced, about an important topic. I’m a layperson in the field of psychiatry but the podcast is very accessible. The coverage is both wide and deep. Well done!
