  • Great podcast

But… I refuse to give any of my time to Angelo Isidorou and JJ McCullough. You can disagree with people and then there’s whatever these two do all over social media. Disappointing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

AEW’s Kyle O’Reilly on sacrifice, setbacks, and wrestling culture
Q: What's real in terms of sacrifice today, considering the non-stop schedule?
There's no real offseason in wrestling; you work year-round unless you're injured, and the company does try to support family needs, which makes the sacrifice feel meaningful rather than one-sided.
AEW’s Kyle O’Reilly on sacrifice, setbacks, and wrestling culture
Q: What did you have to give up to get to this point?
I gave up a lot of time with family, slept on couches, drove long hours, and sacrificed stability for the chance to chase opportunities in places like Ring of Honor and Japan, driven by a deep love for the craft.
AEW’s Kyle O’Reilly on sacrifice, setbacks, and wrestling culture
Q: So I want to hear from you for perhaps people that are uninitiated. What's the most real thing about pro wrestling?
Pro wrestling is about suspending disbelief and delivering an entertaining, authentic-feeling performance; the realism comes from the energy, timing, and the physical risks the performers take, which creates a shared emotional experience with the audience.
Hunting Matthew Nichols: When does true crime go too far?
Q: Do you think audiences have become desensitized to the consequences of true crime being packaged as entertainment?
He argues that audiences are increasingly drawn to sensational formats while simultaneously feeling unsettled by the ethical implications, which he aims to reflect through the film's themes and marketing choices.
Hunting Matthew Nichols: When does true crime go too far?
Q: What inspired the film to blend a fictional Port Rupert with real-life discourse around true crime and online misinformation?
Markian explains that the film was crafted to provoke questions about reality versus fiction and to expose how easily online narratives can shape perception, using a fictional setting to explore real-world dynamics without claiming factualness.
