  • Lynda is good - get rid of the guy!

Would like the show if the whinny socialist guy would leave or be quite. He adds nothing . Would rather hear callers thoughts without his high pitched lefty comments interruptions. Will check back in when he is gone.

  • Awful co-host

What would otherwise be a good podcast is ruined by its male co-host; the co-host frequently chimes in with verbal sound bites that add no value to the show. Furthermore, he yells during his special segments and editorials which are utterly irritating to listen to. Without him, this would be a much better program.

  • Its okay

Her main co-host is a bit of a yes-man. Always agreeing with her in an over the top way. I dont like the call-in segment either. She doesnt have a conversation with callers which is awkward to listen to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Landmark agreement between B.C. and the federal government
Q: In your reporting career, can you recall a time where a Prime Minister arrives in BC and backs up the Brinks truck like they did today?
Keith Baldrey notes that such a display is unprecedented and emphasizes that while talks had been ongoing, the scale and simultaneity of the funding announcements—covering transportation, energy, and social programs—represented a watershed moment that exceeded prior expectations.
Alberta’s ‘major’ pipeline plan: what can we expect?
Q: What could change the lack of expressed interest from oil companies in the pipeline?
The guests believe oil companies want a pipeline to move product but are hesitant to commit without a clear path to market and potential public funding, so a plausible change would be a government commitment to subsidize or guarantee aspects of the project that de-risk private investment.
Alberta’s ‘major’ pipeline plan: what can we expect?
Q: Do you have any idea what plans the Alberta government might be announcing tomorrow?
Hamish suggests expectations are limited; the government may outline a general route rather than a specific one, reiterate conditions like Indigenous buy-in and no private proponent yet, and emphasize that details beyond these points are unlikely to be revealed in the immediate announcement.
Sony ends discs for Playstation games in 2028
Q: In that end of an era vibe, how will going away with physical disks change gaming, do you think?
The move to all-digital will limit free sharing of games between friends, push toward a download-centric model on future consoles, and demand more robust digital infrastructure; Sony may argue that larger games require more storage and faster networks, while still enabling developers to reach households with a store-based ecosystem.
U.S. declines to extend trade deal with Canada and Mexico
Q: What leverage does Canada have in these negotiations?
Canada has leverage from its resource wealth, open market reputation, and the ability to diversify export partners beyond the United States, including Europe and Asia, which helps balance pressure from Washington.
