  • Lynda is good - get rid of the guy!

Would like the show if the whinny socialist guy would leave or be quite. He adds nothing . Would rather hear callers thoughts without his high pitched lefty comments interruptions. Will check back in when he is gone.

  • Awful co-host

What would otherwise be a good podcast is ruined by its male co-host; the co-host frequently chimes in with verbal sound bites that add no value to the show. Furthermore, he yells during his special segments and editorials which are utterly irritating to listen to. Without him, this would be a much better program.

  • Its okay

Her main co-host is a bit of a yes-man. Always agreeing with her in an over the top way. I dont like the call-in segment either. She doesnt have a conversation with callers which is awkward to listen to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

B.C. forces West Vancouver to meet provincial housing targets
Q: How does the local area plan and council voting affect housing delivery and compliance with targets?
The order from the province mirrors the work West Vancouver staff and council began, and the plan is focused on Ambleside; Council majority concerns about density are balanced with a desire to preserve character while enabling gentle densification as required by the province.
B.C. forces West Vancouver to meet provincial housing targets
Q: What is your reaction to the Premier's comments about targeting West Vancouver and not granting exemptions?
The Premier is a busy person and may not have read every detail, but the core point is that the province wants progress; West Vancouver has a plan in place and is prepared to work with them, including acknowledging the Cypress Village plan and the local area plan that already exist.
B.C. Ferries’ rocky long weekend
Q: What caused the BC Ferries outage and what is the plan to prevent it in the future?
The aging fleet and maintenance delays are central, with calls for reinvestment in new vessels and more transparent communication, plus a push to build capacity at home while balancing procurement costs and efficiency.
Fuel surcharges, fewer flights, a pricier summer
Q: Is there any industry attempt to pad margins, or is the struggle real for airlines given rising costs?
The industry is under real pressure because margins per seat are thin, so when mandatory costs such as fuel or taxes rise, airlines push some of that risk onto consumers through surcharges and reduced service, particularly on routes with heavy competition and high operating costs.
Fuel surcharges, fewer flights, a pricier summer
Q: Can you walk me through what the surcharges look like right now for airlines here in Canada?
Surcharges are not uniform; they include a flat fee on companion fares like WestJet's $50 tag, additional charges on regular fares, and specific hikes on vacation packages, with fuel surcharges continuing to rise on many tickets, including points redemptions, though the latter remains tied to the airline's profitability on those redemptions.
