  • Not good anymore

I used to listen on podcast and tune in when i could. After today, i am moving on. This is garbage content, meaningless noise. The stupid contests are fingers on chalk board. No wonder Corus is bankrupt, they have lost their way. Turned woke. Go Woke, go Broke.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Making Cents of the Markets for September 9th, 2026
Q: What is your take on September's historical performance and the potential for volatility to spill into the fall?
While September has historically been weaker, it does not dictate the year's outcome. The key is to expect some volatility, maintain a diversified approach, and be ready to adjust positions as new information comes in, rather than trying to time the exact bottom or top.
Trade talk with someone who's been there before - Canadian booze ban - Mayoral race update
Q: What do you think are the most important issues for Vancouverites heading into this election?
Affordability remains the core concern, with emphasis on housing, community services, and transit; public safety requires a broader toolkit beyond policing, including supportive housing and crisis response strategies.
View on Politics: Eby's plaid shirt show & Who's the opposition?
Q: Is there anything you use AI for?
Vaughn Palmer notes that while the AI bit is light banter early on, the deeper discussion centers on how BC politics uses messaging to frame actions and how the government's claims compare with actual policy outcomes.
View on Politics: Cowichan decision one year later & Forestry struggles
Q: I guess I'm a little bit confused, Vaughn, by why appraisers are doing this outside of that area. Why would appraisers bring other land into question where that hasn't come up yet?
Palmer explains that appraisers are extending the logic of title uncertainty beyond the immediate Cowichan area to reflect broader legal risk, leading to precautionary disclosures and reduced market activity province-wide.
Trade war escalation, what's next? - Dialing back classroom technology
Q: How will tariffs impact the economy in the near term vs. longer term?
Macro effects are modest (a small GDP drag) but micro sectors like autos and lumber face more pronounced pain; long-term stability relies on predictable policy and diversified trade.
