this podcast makes me want to type in all caps, but that would be inappropriate. president dr rollergator is super duper smart and fun, unlike chelsea clinton, whose podcast is not even close to being as smart and witty.
This podcast features Dr. Roller Gator and a sidekick commenting on current events. Gator is a brilliant and incisive commentator who applies mathematical rigor and natural teaching ability to discussion of our crazy world events. It also features humorous skits and other bits of levity to help make the horror of how DUM everything is a bit easier to bear.
I discovered This Dum Week recently and listen to every episode. Listening to the 2+ hour long episodes as I walk around a Lubbock Parks and Recreation maintained site that is named “The Gary Ward Basin”. This podcast is kind of like that when what you were hoping for is a nice lake to walk by but instead it’s a dry basin where junior high kids make out an pit bulls try to kill each other on a nightly basis.

The show blends quick-witted commentary with deep dives into current events, politics, tech, and pop culture, all delivered with humor and a skeptical lens. Episodes frequently tackle conspiracy theories, geopolitical headlines, and media narratives, often pairing satirical banter with sharp, data-informed takes. A notable strength is the balance between lighthearted skits and serious critique, making complex topics approachable without losing edge. Listeners likely value candid perspectives, historical context, and witty, no-nonsense discussion that cuts through noise.
A standout trait is the hosts' willingness to challenge dominant narratives, weave in historical references, and maintain a humorous, self-aware tone even when topics get h... more
