The 50/50 mix of adds is really annoying I get you want to make money, but the audience want to hear from you not your sponsors. A 34 minute episode should have over 15+ minutes of adds!
Great show. Clarification on CO Springs red status: We recently elected a Democrat mayor AFTER he orchestrated a fake hate crime to garner sympathy/votes. I’m pretty sure his collaborators were charged with the hoax (eventually convicted) before he was even elected, so…
Interminable ads, three minutes of ads after the hosts sign off! I listen to podcasts while driving, I can’t listen to Normally in the car and be subject to all those commercials. I love the actual content though.
I’m conservative/libertarian and even voted for Trump, which is why this shift is so frustrating. This podcast now feels like a space where Trump can do no wrong, with little room for nuance or criticism. And the attacking of other conservatives, name calling and dismissing anyone who disagrees with “the right” is just gross behavior. It’s no longer a thoughtful discussion, it’s a MAGA echo chamber and only pushes one narrative.
Love this podcast and the points that the hosts make so well. Karol and Mary Katharine do a great job of outlining both sides and the ridiculousness of both sides when needed. Really appreciated the special episode after the White House Correspondents’ dinner in April 2026.

Two seasoned political commentators offer a centrist, conversation-style take on current events, blending brisk political analysis with cultural commentary and personal anecdotes. Episodes frequently cover elections, endorsements, policy debates, and the role of media, with notable attention to technology's societal impact, public health policy, and how families navigate information and screen time. A distinctive through-line is a push toward level-headed discussion and accountability, often contrasting viewpoints with humor and grounding it in practical, everyday concerns. A standout trait is the hosts' willingness to critique both sides while maintaining a relatable, non-hysterical tone, which tends to attract listeners seeking balanced, ... more
