This episode is compiled from recordings made in 2009 (yes - 2009 - not 2019!) that I found hidden away on an old dusty harddrive. It's pure gold.
It features synth music by Cuckoo, me making lots of silly voices, and a special appearance by the bri... more
With apologies for the poor sound quality of last month's episode (even though it was awesome!) we hereby present you with..... well... 12 minutes....
In this episode I'm talking to Nacho Vargas about my adventures with a Tapir and.... his partner in crime. Recorded in Mexico City with a bottle of mescal and a Robocop T-Shirt. A huevo!
WARNING: This episode includes snippets of the Mexico City Earthquake Alarm. For listeners in CMDX, this might be... alarming. There's also quite a bit of swearing in this episode.... Another unbelievable true story, this time I'm in conversations w... more
Matt tells Angie Fajardo in Mexico City two crazy true stories he lived in Oslo and Chicago...
These stories are exactly appropriate for bedtime. I was all tucked in and listening when I felt like I was in some sort of adventure/fantasy escape except that it’s all true! Really enjoy the added sounds and music. It reminds me of an old radio show. Very good stuff.
It is refreshing to hear Hyphenated Jones's voice again in storytelling form. I will be listening to many more. Mental and Brilliant!!!

... this guy is hilarious! A top-off-his-head-story that get´s better and funnier every minute. The loose ends are tied to a knot that keeps you laughing. (i am obviously not a writer) Short anecdotes are coming together and form a greater picture.
And all this without beeing pretentious or without the typical AHA-effect (that´s what it was all about!)
You gotta love this guy (unless you hate pandas)
Matt has a wonderful speaking voice (his accent doesn’t hurt) and Andrea asks good questions to keep his stories compelling and funny. Decent production values and nice choice of music kept this podcast feeling light and breezy without lingering for too long on any one vignette. Will be curious to see where this goes - will it all be random excerpts from the nutty life experiences of MWJ? I will be listening more to find out.
If you are anything like me and can not get sleep without a good podcast this is for you. The narrator is super fun, the stories are light and weird and you certainly going to sleep with smile in your face. Highly recommended.
