I can’t tell you how much I love this podcast! As a little girl, I was OBSESSED with MKA. I am a year younger than them and would just go nuts when they released a new project. This podcast is like hanging out with two friends and waxing nostalgic about our favorite famous twins. It’s brought back so many memories I had, not only about them but about my own life during these times in the 90s and early 2000s which honestly has been so amazing and comforting. It’s also made me think about the twin... more
I wasn’t a HUGE MK&A kid growing up, but I am a couple weeks younger than them, so their media and the cultural perception of them shaped my life. This show does a great job recontextualizing their lives and work. I especially appreciate the cultural criticism of the safety of working children and the way American society interacts with famous children and youth. I highly recommend, not just to grown up fans but also to anyone interested in media criticism!
I’ve been listening to this podcast from the beginning for several months now while i’m at work, and it has given me something to genuinely look forward to each weekday!! It feels like being welcomed back into a community that I hold near and dear to my heart, recreating the same magic I felt 20+ years ago when I would go to blockbuster every other weekend and pick out two new Mary-Kate and Ashley videos until I made it all the way through the entire dualstar catalog (…and then repeat). Being ab... more
I absolutely love this podcast. I’ve always loved the Olsen twins and now there’s a Mk & Ashley podcast OMGGGGGG more
I was very much a part of the fun club, but I do didn’t realize I had to pay more money to get more boxes! Didn’t matter I was still obsessed with them! As a millennial, I am now showing these movies to my daughter! So far she loves Holiday in the Sun! I remember buying clothes from their Walmart line and I wanted so bad to be dressed like them! Thank you for making this podcast! It’s been such a joy to listen too! Also for telling me where I can find everything to watch online!
