  • Great PODcast! If you don't want actual theology!

Wow, so yeah, if you love moral relativism; or if you want what Lewis calls "Christianity-and-water"; or you don't actually like or want to know anything about theology, or the Bible, or Jesus; then this podcast is for you!

  • Not very accessible

Great idea for a podcast but it's not very accessible and a bit rambling. The unapologetic, loud baby noise and ambient background sounds are really distracting. I love the concept but as a scientist (not philosopher) I get much more out of the Unbelievable, reasonable faith, and even Phil Vischer podcasts.

The Podcast That Wasn't Supposed to Last 18 Years & Vintage Theo-Blog War Stories
Q: What broader shift does the group discuss about online theological conversations over the years?
They describe moving from combustible, often combative blog wars to more constructive, cross-promotional dialogue across communities, realizing controversy could help grow the show while gradually stabilizing the conversation.
The One Where We Tried Something New and It Mostly Worked
Q: How do we help bridge where I believe faith and human flourishing can exist with an encounter with the divine?
Start fostering a theology of relationship and be willing to engage even with those who assume something different from you. It's about maintaining connection while nurturing understanding.
The One Where We Tried Something New and It Mostly Worked
Q: How do you see this kind of weird tolerance paradox, both politically in our craziness and even theologically?
It's important to distinguish between liberalism and liberation. Progressives may declare an allegiance that God is on the side of the marginalized, but the critique points out hypocrisy in liberal Christianity, where the individual is prioritized over collective needs.
Against Empathy: When Christians Declare Compassion a Vice
Q: Aren't they Christians?
Many committed Christians may vote against funding public education due to beliefs about the role of government, preferring community and church efforts instead.
Religion Before Language: Why We Danced Before We Believed
Q: How do you preach afterlife concepts in process theology?
It involves different views on immortality, either through objective immortality where our actions affect God's memory or subjective immortality where experiences continue post-death.
