  • Thoroughly Informative

I started listening to this podcast when I moved to Puerto Rico. I wanted to learn more about foiling, and the X Foils offers expert foiling commentary and beyond. The format is nice, definitely not too short, and guests and hosts are encouraged to ramble on for about an hour on whatever topic may be at hand. Literally the go into insane detail, it’s amazing. Thanks everyone.

Case #65: Paul Cooper vs Puerto Rico
Q: How did the latest gear (F4 and new pod) perform on the downwind run?
Paul and the others note that the front-footed F4 performed exceptionally well, with easy pop-up, solid lift, and good handling in big swells; the pod setup allowed quick adjustments and efficient rides, though it required some tweaking mid-run to optimize drag and height.

Paul expresses strong enthusiasm, describing Puerto Rico as amazing and feeling like home, with the island's beauty and the easy access to world-class foiling conditions making a compelling case for why he keeps returning.
Case 54: The Frigate Formula -Test Pilot and Designer Nicolas Caillou
Q: And how did that all start up? They just kind of came to you like, look, this parawing thing's happening. Will you come and help work it up on the design?
Yeah, they called me because they saw me actively trying to find solutions with the parawing and thought I might be a good fit for the project.
Case #50: Small Brand, Big Spray: Hydrocraft with Matt Elsasser
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about how Hydrocraft got started?
Matt explained that Hydrocraft began from a desire to create a local brand connected to the Hood River community, focusing on innovation and quality within the foiling market.
Case #38 – Maxime from Shaka Vibes Cancun
Q: How did you end up in Cancun?
I did an internship in Puerto Vallarta and then found opportunities in Cancun that I loved, so I stayed.
