  • Worth a Watch

In the 12:00 episode about season 2 of The Pitt, the hosts asked for our favorite on screen pile - mine has to be “It’s an inside joke!” From the recent horror movie Obsession.

  • Geesh

These two are wild podcasters. Every word has some sort of tinge of “I could have done this better” or something like that. Just overall two people who seem to dislike most people and things in the Pitt but seem to podcast about it. But hey that’s podcasters, a bunch of folks who think they think unique but they are really just super critical entertainment watchers that complain about how tv shows work. I mean most episodes of this podcast is them complaining about who the show works. I mean the... more

  • Clown Lung

I think that Clown Lung will be The Pitt’s obscure condition. It would be a good excuse to have some clowns or drag queens in an episode! I’m personally hoping for drag queens, but I finally got a big show doing an episode involving furries that doesn’t make us look like total freaks, so I’ll take that W.

  • More soundboard!

I’ve been going through the archives, and I have to say that episode 47, in which you discuss the “Doomcoming” episode, features some of the best soundboard work I’ve ever heard. I want to know that Andrea receives the credit she is due for these tasteful, yet bombastic choices. I have a fever, and the only cure is more soundboard!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Watchers Watch The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Q: What do we think about the representation of gender in Silence of the Lambs?
The representation is complex with problematic elements, especially related to the character Buffalo Bill.
BONUS: A Very Jersey Conversation With Ashley Lyle
Q: Are there aspects of Jersey culture or iconography or places that you wish you could get into the show, but there just is no place for it or hasn't been so far?
There are probably a lot, and making the show in Vancouver sometimes creates challenges in replicating New Jersey's feel.
BONUS: A Very Jersey Conversation With Ashley Lyle
Q: What do you think about more generally ending a season of a show?
It’s important to tie up some loose ends while also leaving the story open for future developments. We approach each season as a chapter that concludes but also leads to new possibilities.
"Sic Transit Gloria Mundi" Watch-Along, Yellowjackets Season 1 Recap
Q: How did you stand the wait for season two?
The wait was hard; I rewatched and evangelized about the show to everyone I knew, but it was still a long gap without great podcasts available.
Pilot Season: The Watchers Watch The X-Files
Q: Were you surprised at how quickly they sort of admit that the government is involved with something?
Not really, because it kind of felt in the beginning like we're coming in sort of mid-stream.
