  • Great resource !

Loving listening to this podcast as a relatively experienced coach but not at the younger ages. This has really helped simplify and streamlining our practice plans with relevant skills/ drills for younger ages ! Thanks:)

  • Great volleyball pod on coaching youth teams

Love this pod, I coach 8th grade volleyball and this year I am trying a 6-3 instead of a 5-1 rotation by position. No longer specializing positions or putting up a block when girls can’t jump high enough to block anyways. Keep up the good work, it’s appreciated!

Q: Do you have a tip on winning volleyball games?
You need to be humble enough to watch the team you're playing and learn from them, taking ideas that work and adding them to your own strategy to improve your team's performance.
Dan Meske on Running the Offense and Switching To His New Role As Head Coach at Louisville University
Q: When you're evaluating young setters, say incoming recruits that could potentially play for Louisville, how important is their decision making at that time?
It's not very high on the list to be honest, because I do think that deception and decision making are great but the most important thing is how they connect with their hitters and whether they can deliver hittable balls consistently.
